Getting so big!

Lily is growing so fast! She amazes me everyday! She talks so much to John and I now. She has a little bug toy that hangs from her carseat that she loves and she coos and talks to it as soon as she sees it. We both just light up when she does this because it is absolutely adorable.

She has put herself on a schedule and is in bed by 9 at night now. I have to say that I am grateful for this because I enjoy the alone time I get with hubby now. I also try to use this time to give attention to the dogs (a.k.a. the boys) because I know they have felt pretty left out lately. I have been so short with them and they seem to drive me batty a lot easier lately.

John and I have been going to church every Sunday since Lily was born and John just got training today to be a lector. It feels good to be going back to church since the last time I was going faithfully was in college. I feel like it is our obligation as parents to make sure that Lily is raised in our Catholic faith and we have been doing a disservice to ourselves by not going before.

Overall, everything is great! It is so stinkin' hot here. Temperatures in the upper 90's with heat indexes in the 105-110 range so we have been holed up inside mostly. The A/C unit in this house is so small though so by 5 in the evening, the temperature is 76 degrees in the house and it doesn't cool down until nightfall.

But, Lily is currently napping which means I need to take this time to clean up the house and read my Words Their Way book for school. Thanks for reading!
